The Green Rangers shield could be used among the other five Rangers, simply by allowing another of the Rangers to touch the front of the leaders personal shield, transferring the powers and shield of the leader to either the Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink or Black Rangers at any given time for whatever reason. He personally added a red jewel into the Green Ranger helmet, believed to be have once been a part of a family crest of Zordon's family. Green was Zordon's favourite colour, and decided that the Green warrior, to be known as the Green Ranger, would lead the Power Rangers, with Red Ranger as a second in command.ĭuring the creation of the suits and helmet's of his Power Rangers, Zordon created alterations to the Green Ranger suit, giving it a special shield and matching gold coloured armbands, so that should anyone in the universe ever encounter his Power Rangers, then the Green Ranger would be identified as the leader easily straight away.
Zordon decided that his warriors would have two commanders, a leader, and a second in command. Each warrior would be given a unique, coloured suit, and a unique Zord for each warrior, which could combine to form a magnificent machine of such awesome power he called a Megazord after encountering a race of sentient robots from a distant world, some of whom could combine to form large, humanoid machines. He decided to create what he would later christen as the 'Power Rangers' a team of six warriors. Zordon decided to create these special warriors as a fighting force who would oppose the likes of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa, and any other evil's that might threaten the universe in centuries to come.
